Found a Pearl Summary: This place is DOPE! The food was absolutely awesome, the ambiance is like a French Bistro and the service was really good. I even met the Chef. Let's get into it Okay first off you're going to want to order the braised short ribs with the greens and garlic mashed potato's. The reason you're going to want to do that is because it's what the chef and entire staff chose as their meal when they work. It's legit qualifies as DOPE SOUTHERN FOOD. Lilllie Pearl, located about one block from a couple of hotels and next to a great little open air parking lot makes the location prime for stopping by; it's listed as southern food on google and Yelp. What you get is an open concept French bistro style with servers who welcome you and tell you about how amazing the food is from the start of the conversation. I always say that food needs more flavor so my palette leans towards food that has flavor built in. That is all to say that I'm a picky foodie because I believe multiple elements of food should work together to create an experience. This does just that. This black owned restaurant dives deep into the immersion of flavor thats essential to its experience. I would recommend this place for a first date as an impressive location but also good enough for a conversation and a great meal. Plus taking a date that to this location will make seem like you are knowledgeable in the Richmond VA food scene. Our server Caroline was really informative and is a self proclaimed foodie which brought a creditably to her advice on what to order. At her recommendation We ordered the carrot appetizer with goat cheese. I ordered the braised short ribs and my wife ordered the crispy salmon. It was so delicious. I also saw the pork chops and that our neighbors ordered. The presentation was mouth watering. Sidenote: I woke up this morning wishing I had left overs. I don't usually order dessert- if you don't you'll miss out on a mouth watering dream of the Peach Cobbler bread pudding. It's so very worth it. Caroline, our server, recommended that I order a whiskey to compliment the braised short ribs so I did and was glad I had the Smokey whiskey flavor to compliment the Braised Short ribs. I saw a lot of drinks served in mason jars. This added to the southern charm. Bottom Line- Details- people!! They pay attention to details. I give this spot 5 stars and a high five for a great meal.

Lillie Pearl is a culinary gem that's worth every calorie! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The experience kicked off with their Nearest Two Street cocktail, featuring Uncle Nearest whiskey. If you know, you know - and if you don't, you're in for a pleasant surprise. But what truly set this place apart was how the music complemented the food, rather than the other way around. It's rare to find a restaurant where the soundtrack is as carefully curated as the menu. Speaking of the menu, I went for the classic fried chicken, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned - it lived up to all expectations. Despite feeling completely satisfied (read: stuffed), I couldn't resist ordering the banana pudding for dessert. Let me tell you, it was worth squeezing in that last bite! Lillie Pearl manages to elevate comfort food to an art form, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can indulge guilt-free because the experience is just that good. Pro tip: Save room for dessert. Even when you think there's "no room in the inn," trust me - you'll want to make space for their banana pudding. Overall, Lillie Pearl offers a perfect blend of fantastic food, creative cocktails, and an ambiance that hits all the right notes. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Our first time visiting Richmond and it has not disappointed! There are so many restaurants to chose from but you MUST give Lillie Pearl a try... I had the lobster shrimp and grits that were to die for!, they weren't overly rich, the grits were perfectly cooked and the portions were just enough. My husband got the smothered pork chop and smiled the entire time (need I say more?!). The vibe is cozy and beautiful. Marisa was such a great and knowledgeable waitress! She made our experience so much better with her kindness and enthusiasm. A must visit in Richmond

Thursday 3/21/2024 Made a reservation last minute for 4:30 which is the exact time they open. Even though we got there right as it opened that didn't stop the place from filling up rather quickly during our experience. The ambiance had a nice vibe to it with modern & old school hip hop & R&B music playing throughout the restaurant. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes & Mac n cheese (2$ upcharge) $20, peach cobbler bread pudding $8, and carrot cake $9. - fried chicken with mash & Mac * the fried chicken was decent, it comes with sides of honey & hot sauce that compliments the flavor of the chicken. * both the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were good. - peach cobbler bread pudding * it was pretty good and its probably my favorite item. - carrot cake * it isn't the best carrot cake I've had but it's solid. Overall, Lillie Pearl was a solid experience that I would recommend and be open to returning to in the future to possibly try their brunch items like the French toast & chicken and the peach cobbler French toast.

I've eaten at @lillie.pearl.rva enough times now to be able to say that this place is not only amazing in all of the important ways (ambience, food, service), but it is ℴℯ. Prepare for a great night out and some amazing southern inspired cuisine! The vibe is similar to a lot of downtown restaurants- modern industrial with warm wooden and brick accents. The lighting is dim, and the bar area is super inviting, so perfect for a fun girls outing or romantic date night. We started with the short rib egg rolls, and this was one of my favorite appetizers I've had in a while. I love a egg roll, and I haven't had one this good in a while. Braised beef short rib, collards, pimento cheese, carrots, and pickled onions come wrapped up in a lightly fried and egg roll served with an amazing thai basil sauce. For dinner, I went for the incomparable lobster + shrimp + grits . This dish features local cheesy grits, Edwards surry sausage, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and lobster cream sauce. This version is more Ċṛëäṁÿ than spicy, so not your typical shrimp and grits, and I was Here. For. It. For dessert we managed to find room for the peach cobbler- which was to die for- and banana pudding (not pictured). The banana pudding was out of this world! Highly recommend saving room for either! Tip: this is a great spot to hit before a show at Dominion Energy Center as it's a super short walk away!

Absolutely jaw droppingly delicious!!! It's restaurants and food like this that make me think we need to have an option for MORE than 5 star ratings. From the minute I entered Lillie Pearl the hostess was extremely warm and welcoming. This was just the start of what was a top notch experience. The menu has all the fixings for what you would expect from a Southern comfort restaurant- with a twist! The portion sizes are great and the favours with each and every course that we had were clearly seasoned and prepared with dollops of love and passion!! I thoroughly enjoyed the Beet and Burrata salad... The candied walnuts literally elevated what was already an amazing blend of flavours. And the Smothered Pork Chops had me literally dancing in my seat -- hands down 10/10!!! All of the cocktails we tried were amazing -- I was pleasantly surprised by the unique flavour profile of the Steel Magnolia; definitely a must try. I cannot wait to go back to try more items from the dinner, lunch and brunch menus!!!

Cute little restaurant in downtown Richmond area. Came in for lunch wish they have the dinner entrees menu available. Short rib egg rolls are excellent. It goes so well with melted cheese. Burger is great but I would try it without the sauce next time. Great service ! Super friendly people works here. Will return
